First off, I know it's sappy....I don't care....it's how I feel.. ;)

I have never had a baby....OK, I know that as a man, I "can't" have a baby, but what I mean is this. Jimmy and Marie where 6 and 4 when I married Glenna, so I missed all of the baby stuff. The pooping, the teething, the terrible 2's, etc... And on one hand that was sorta cool.....Glenna couldn't have anymore kids and I knew that, and I was cool with that. I mean I have 2 great kids who love me, so what more could I need...(and in case anyone is wondering, I may not be their biological father, but make no mistake, they are my kids....)

So seeing Jaymisen being born.....I didn't know what I would feel, I mean I knew I would feel love...but as I like to say "I don't know nothing bout birthing no babies!"....well....as I drove home tonight....I just started balling, crying like a little kid....(I'm tearing up just writing this) I was just so overcome with joy and happiness...I didn't want to leave the hospital, only one person could stay and Marie wanted mom....I tried not to take it personal ;) But I just want to hold him and love on him and give him kisses. I want to take him fishing, I want to play catch, I want to make silly movies with him....I love him so much.....he is just......so beautiful to me...I wish my grandpa was still alive, I just want to show him off to everyone.

I am sure this is how other grandparents feel....but it's new to me...and I apologize in advance to Jaymisen and you all out there, cause you are going to see him quite a bit....I can't wait for his first Halloween.....I wonder what he will go as?.......... ;)

I found this footage sitting on one of my backup hard drives.....as the title states, this is from 02/01/2003, I am using an old Kodak digital camera...it was 3.1 mp....hey at the time that was a big deal......well it shot really crappy video as well, but I used it for video A LOT.....I have a bunch of footage like this sitting around....most of it's soooo bad.....but this one was kinda fun, so I thought I would share.....

As most of you know, I turned 40 recently and as I posted about a couple of weeks ago, it has really got me thinking. What have I done? Where am I going? What do I want to do? Who am I? I've also been thinking about this thing we call vlogging. What it has meant to me and where I want to go with it.....or if I even want "it" to go anywhere.....Like I said, a lot of thinking....and well this video expresses some of the feelings I have been having and quite honestly the feelings I have had most of my life....(don't worry it's not a 20 minute vlog....one thing I have learned is that sometimes, short is indeed better)....anyway although the main part of this video was shot for someone else and for something else....it fits my current mood very well.....

Last Sunday we had some pretty bad wind storms hit the tri-state area. If I had known how bad it was going to be I would have broken out my camera and filmed some more. But alas, I didn't but what I did shoot, with my new LG Dare, from Verizon wireless...America's most reliable network by the way...anyway I shot this little bit that I think will give you a little more insight into my wife...I hope you all enjoy and I am sure some of you can relate.. ;)

While Glenna and I are in San Diego we decieded to drive to Coronado.we have one free day before we start helping James set up his booth for the San Diego Comic Con.that would be the worlds largest pop culture, comic, etc, etc event in the whole world..anyway we did all kinds of stuff on our free day but for me, what I filmed at Coronado made the day. As most of you know I was in the Army, its how Glenna and I met, and I still have the upmost respect for the armed forces. Especialy groups like the Seals, Rangers, SF, etc. It takes a certain kind of person to want to and be able to make it through the training. For every 10 that volunter to be a Seal, 7-8 will not make it.

Ive the privlage of meeting some Seals, some Rangers, even some MI6 fellows..and I am glad there are those who are still willing to join the military. Its not an easy life, I know.I still think about my time and some things I will never forget

I hope you enjoy this brief glimpse, these fellows are in week 2, they were training mid day, in the hot sun, running to the ocean, paddling out to sea, coming back in over the rocks and waves, in full uniform (when those things get wet, they weigh a ton) , carring the boat which weighs.what must feel like a ton, over their heads, it cant touch their heads, btw, any infranction, any deviation and you are corrected.all this while people are watching.tough is too mild a word for how that must feel..but still they did it, over and over again for hours..it makes me look at my fat gut and feel guilty
